Install Crank, Cam

After checking the bearing and rod clearances, I installed the crankshaft and camshaft, and joined the two case halves together. When that was done, I installed the hybrid studs and safety shaft. The hybrid studs were kind of a pain because the threads in the crankshaft were very dirty after having been nitrided. Normally, I would have chased the threads with a tap, but 11/32-24 threads are very rare (which is the whole reason for the existence of the hybrid studs in the first place), so I had to muscle my way through them.
