While inspecting another plane at the airport this weekend, I saw some curved fairings at the bottom of the firewall, near where the cooling air exits the cowling. It reminded me that the Maranda plans called for something similar, so I made some out of .020 aluminum. I think they're supposed to help the cooling air exit the cowling more quickly and smoothly, but who knows if they'll actually work. At least they (probably) won't hurt anything.
